Characteristics
Our Red Popcorn pops into a healthy, crunchy snack that has a beautiful red color due to the presence of natural pigments called anthocyanins. This variety of popcorn also has fewer hulls and medium-sized kernels.

While our uniquely-colored popcorn kernel varieties(Midnight Blue, RedPurpleBlue, Rainbow) have a colored kernel, they will be white or yellow once popped. For popped popcorn to be colored, the kernels need to be dyed beforehand, and we do not use dyes or preservatives.

Compared to Other Popcorn
Red Popcorn is very similar to the other varieties of uniquely colored popcorn kernels and has a sweeter and nuttier flavor than traditional White or Yellow Popcorn.

Popping Tips
Like our other “colorful” varieties, Red Popcorn has a unique sweet, nutty flavor and pairs well with our seasonings. It has good popability, produces large fluffy kernels, and can be popped using all of the traditional methods of popcorn popping, such as air popping, stove-top popping, and microwave popping.

    Amish Country Popcorn

Posted by Lori L on Aug 10th 2018

We usually grow our own popcorn but with weather related losses we have been ordering the Amish Country Popcorn over the past few years after purchasing it in Berea, Kentucky. It is a really flavorful popcorn with not as many hulls as regular brands which more mimics what we grow. This is now our go to popcorn until we can again get our production up and running.

I won't select any other type of popcorn- this is hands down my favorite variety. Crunchy, few hulls, pops up most if not all kernels, simply awesome.,
