Do not like the Midnight Blue Popcorn

Posted by Lois Meyer on Oct 8th 2020

We eat popcorn almost every night. We prefer hullless so we ordered Blue, Purple (advertised as fewer hulls), and Med White. We liked the Med White and the Purple. However, the Blue may not have had hulls, but the kernels seemed to only partially open leaving a tough center that was seemed semi-popped. Hard to eat with hard centers which to us is worse than popcorn with hulls. We couldn't enjoy this popcorn at all trying to crunch through hard centers. We have almost a full 2 lb bag that we will never eat and won't buy this one again.

    Blue vs White

Posted by NANCI on Jul 8th 2020

I haven't tried the red, but between the blue and the white variety, I prefer the white. The blue doesn't seem as fluffy or pop up as large as the white does. So it's not my pick between the two. Still good, just not the best in my opinion

    Very Tasty! 4get the Rest!

Oh my gosh! I am in love with the tenderness, taste and blue is by far better than the rest. White, tender small & has a nutty flavor that I like. Trust me on this. Try the blue.

    Blue no more

It says "a little sweeter". Not that I could tell. Compared to Red and Purple its more chewy and a lot more hulls left at the end. I put 1/3 cup more corn in the pan and still ended up with less popped corn than the others as well. I won't order this again.

Yup it's good and pops great. Don't think I will be buying popcorn unless it's from ACP. Thank you guys for the great popcorn and fast shipping.

    Best popcorn

I've just started sampling Amish Country popcorns. So far have only tried the blue kernels but find the texture interesting and the flavor wonderful.

This popcorn actually has a blue hue to it after it's popped! And it tastes great, too!

    Taste is the key

I'm so glad I found Amish Country Popcorn! Consumers have fallen for the "bigger is better" market strategy of the big boy stores. Most of the popcorn I bought prior to Amish Country were large popped kernels of flavorless Styrofoam!! FINALLY a kernel that pops with flavor. It seems that flavor has been hybridized out of the majority of the main stream popcorn in a race for the largest popped kernel. The problem is that you then have to add unhealthy toppings and flavoring in order to taste anything. Not with Amish Country Popcorn. The taste is in the kernel, and anything I add compliments the flavor, it doesn't become the flavor. Kudos to Amish Country Popcorn!! You have a customer for life. PS. The Blue corn is my favorite among many of your enjoyable kernels! I'm also partial to the Red corn as well.
