This hybrid is very similar to Medium White popcorn, but it has its own distinct characteristics. Red popcorn does not have many flaky hulls. This popcorn pops up fluffy and meaty white every time. It is a favorite of many.

    Best There Is

Posted by Alex on Feb 10th 2021

Highly recommend. The Red and the Purple are our favorites. They both pop medium size with great earthy flavors, you literally don’t even need salt, butter etc. It has its own taste and that’s a good thing, tastes fresh and much better than the store brands. We will be buying this for many many decades to come. Except next time 6 lb bags. Try it out, you won’t be disappointed.

This popcorn is amazing! Nearly every kernel popped! Truly no hulls and a wonderful taste! I will be buying more!

Smaller funky popped corn, but love that there are very few hulls. The taste is also very good. Never knew there was a difference in taste of popcorn and how good I’d could be (even unsalted/buttered/not cooked in oil) till I met Amish Country.

    Much Better than Blue

Posted by A Brown on Sep 30th 2018

After reading the other less than stellar reviews I find their reviews what I would say about the Blue. I liked this Red just fine but will defer to the Purple from now on. Very Good, good pop, few hulls remaining and great flavor. Add Flavacol to any popcorn and it's awesome!

    Best popcorn I've had

I won't select any other type of popcorn- this is hands down my favorite variety. Crunchy, few hulls, pops up most if not all kernels, simply awesome.,

    Good Flavor Disapointing pop

Posted by Gary Christensen on Apr 26th 2018

The flavor was very good, but the pop was less than average. The kernels were mostly small and slightly tough. I have popped three batches so far and each is the same. The other varieties I got at the same time are much much better.

    Great Popcorn

Posted by Randal Erickson on May 11th 2017

I found this popcorn at my local produce market. They then stopped selling it. I loved this popcorn. I had to have it. I was so happy to find the website. The service was great. The popcorn is fantastic! Nice texture , and the flavor is really good. I pop it in the microwave with corn oil and salt.Tastes great. I can't wait to try some of the other kinds , but it may be hard because the red is so good.

One of the best. A little smaller kernel than the purple and nice and chewy.

Didn't care for the red. Too crunchy. We'll stick to the white.
