Characteristics
The Purple Popcorn is known for its vibrant purple unpopped kernels. It has fewer hulls and a unique taste specific to Purple Popcorn that is enjoyed by many. When popped, the kernels are small with a texture combination or soft and crunchy, providing a well-rounded popcorn experience.

While our uniquely-colored popcorn kernel varieties(Midnight Blue, RedPurpleBlue, Rainbow) have a colored kernel, they will be white or yellow once popped. For popped popcorn to be colored, the kernels need to be dyed beforehand, and we do not use dyes or preservatives.

Compared to Other Popcorn
Red Popcorn, like many other popcorn varieties, contains fiber, making it a healthy and nutritious snack. It is a less common and gourmet experience compared to Yellow and White Popcorn.

Popping Tips
For best results, Purple Popcorn should be popped using stovetop or microwave popping methods. The kernels expand rapidly during popping and produce a large and fluffy popped kernel. Try it with salt and butter, or the seasonings we offer in our store.

    Fantastic

1/3 cup of "grocery store" popcorn usually fills my pot just over half way. 1/3C of the purple popcorn busted out from under the lid! Every kernel popped and it was unquestionably the best popcorn I've ever had. It digests well too!

    Might be the best variety

I am in love with this purple popcorn. Good size and crunch yet very little hulls which I appreciate as someone with tooth crowns that makes it harder to dig out the hulls, has a good flavor on its own being just a tad sweeter yet in my opinion it has some of that yellow popcorn butteriness. Appreciate it being a healthier choice too. Absolutely no cons with this one.

    Purple popcorn

I ate this for the first time today, and it was very good! I cooked it in my air popper, and it turned out quite well! I love that it's an heirloom variety and is non-GMO. Also that it has more health benefits than other types of popcorn. I think this is the popcorn I'll be buying from now on!

    Purple Popcorn

This is the first time I had the purple popcorn, I used a WhirleyPop popper along with the coconut oil and the peanut oil sold at Amish Country Popcorn. The results were amazing! The popcorn popped much larger than anticipated.
