Blue Popcorn

Our Blue variety is medium to large in size and has a unique, sweet flavor. Blue popcorn is also higher in antioxidants and has less hulls than our other varieties. Try it with salt and butter, or the seasonings we offer in our store! For best results, this corn should be popped at a higher temperature.

While our uniquely-colored varieties(Midnight Blue, RedPurpleBlue, Rainbow) have a colored kernel, they will be white or yellow once popped. For popped popcorn to be colored, the kernels need to be dyed beforehand, and we do not use dyes or preservatives.

    Taste is the key

Posted by Bruce Duhe on May 6th 2022

I'm so glad I found Amish Country Popcorn! Consumers have fallen for the "bigger is better" market strategy of the big boy stores. Most of the popcorn I bought prior to Amish Country were large popped kernels of flavorless Styrofoam!! FINALLY a kernel that pops with flavor. It seems that flavor has been hybridized out of the majority of the main stream popcorn in a race for the largest popped kernel. The problem is that you then have to add unhealthy toppings and flavoring in order to taste anything. Not with Amish Country Popcorn. The taste is in the kernel, and anything I add compliments the flavor, it doesn't become the flavor. Kudos to Amish Country Popcorn!! You have a customer for life. PS. The Blue corn is my favorite among many of your enjoyable kernels! I'm also partial to the Red corn as well.

This popcorn actually has a blue hue to it after it's popped! And it tastes great, too!

I've just started sampling Amish Country popcorns. So far have only tried the blue kernels but find the texture interesting and the flavor wonderful.
