Mushroom Popcorn

Very pleased with the mushroom popcorn! We purchased a 10-Bag Variety pack to sample all of the styles. We really liked the Mushroom and then ordered two 6 pound bags (we are storing one and one half of the bags in Ziploc bags in the freezer). We use a covered silicone popcorn popper bowl in the microwave without adding any oil while it is popping (tried it with coconut oil first but found that it was not needed. We just add melted butter after it is finished popping). We were searching for the full sized popcorn kernels like are found in the Christmas gift tins and the Mushroom style delivered. This is a product that we will continue to purchase and would recommend to a friend. I compared pricing on Amazon Prime but ordered directly from Amish Country.

I'm not sure what the problem is but I used an air popper for this and the popcorn was stale. You couldn't bite into it, only squish it with your teeth. Ended up throwing out what I had popped and haven't tried again since. I have a 2LB bag of blue corn kernels that seem to taste just fine when I use the air popper. Perhaps these kernels sat too long before being purchased. The one good thing about this is that the kernels really did pop up like balls as the descriptions says. Good for tree decorating but not as a snack, unless I'm doing it wrong which is also likely.

I have ordered most of the different varieties of Amish Country Popcorn and am normally a fan. However this mushroom popcorn was so full of hulls that I had to continually spit them out with every single mouthful! I ordered a 6 lb bag based on the reviews. The reviews were excellent, so I guess I got a bad batch.

I’ve tried several brands and this is by far the best. Little to no chaff just good clean big kernels. Pops like a dream I use air popper for this one and does just fine.
