    Microwave Popcorn Bowl

Posted by Nancy B. on Feb 19th 2025

This bowl pops the kernels fast and thoroughly. I have also put oil or coconut oil in solid form, in the microwave bowl, with some kernels, and the popcorn tastes excellent, the popping seems to mix the oil really well onto the popcorn. The bowl is easy to clean, and it's big enough to pop enough snacks to feed several people. Eat right from the bowl, or hey, put some popcorn in a zip lock baggy, and sprinkle some of their flavorings in there, shake it up, and you have an individual serving of flavored popcorn for yourself, while others can keep theirs original. I'm glad I bought this bowl, and I see Nordic Ware makes it. Very good product.

Can I use oil in this popper?

    Good construction but average performance

This popper is sturdy, has good capacity but in my experience does not come close to a Presto Power Pop in performance. If it was redesigned to accommodate the Presto Power Cups it would be a hands down winner.

    Best Microwave Popper Bar None!

Posted by Jerry Leonard on Dec 19th 2017

This is the best microwave popcorn popper on the market, bar none! I've tried the silicone version, and it works ok, but hard to hear the popping. With this popper the popping is loud and clear and easy to tell when the corn is done without burning. I was so glad to find that Amish Country Popcorn carried this popper. Wish I'd found it sooner!
