Grandma's Caramel Corn


  • 10 cups popcorn
  • 1 cups brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup light syrup
  • 2 sticks butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon cream of tarter

In a medium pan bring the brown sugar, syrup, and butter to a boil. Boil for 5 minutes. Add the baking soda and cream of tarter. Pour mixture over the popcorn and mix until it's well coated. Place the popcorn on a cookie sheet and bake at 200 degrees for one hour, stir occasionally.
