Characteristics
Our Extra-Large Caramel Type Popcorn is the second-largest variety here at Amish Country Popcorn. It offers a mild and neutral flavor, making it the perfect base for incredible flavor combinations to be added. Its large size and crispy texture are the reasons it is perfect for our caramel, chocolate, and cinnamon glazes. It generally has a thinner hull, which contributes to tender popped popcorn.

Compared to Other Popcorn
Our Extra Large Caramel Type Popcorn is chosen for its size, texture, and consistent size, making it the perfect base for caramel corn or other thick coatings: the perfect late-night movie snack.

Popping Tips
For best results, the Extra-Large Caramel Type popcorn should be popped at a higher temperature. It is delicious with a sweet, thick coating of caramel or chocolate, but it is also delicious with butter and seasonings as well.

It's not stale, it is YOUR TECHNIQUE

Posted by Dr. Z on Sep 6th 2016

Fantastick popcorn, but with one caution: if you aren't using a Whirlypop and just making it on the stove, either use a vented pot or stick a toothpick between the lid and the pot. If you don't, the popcorn will be chewy and could taste "stale." This is great, low-priced popcorn that ships quickly and is wonderful to give as a gift or eat yourself.

    Best popcorn ever!!!

Posted by Harriett Hammons on Aug 31st 2016

I have for years ordered Blue Ribbon popcorn, made by Ellis popcorn co. I ordered so much at a time that I keep it in the freezer where it stays nice and fresh. However, when I went to reorder, I discovered that the plant in Murray, KY had burned down several years ago. On their site, another user of that popcorn had discovered that Ellis had moved it's company to another state and that the quality had declined. He also recommended your caramel large popcorn and I ordered a 2# bag to try it. We, that wasn't nearly enough! I am getting ready to reorder, as in the two or so week period I have had it, it is almost gone! It's the best popcorn I have ever had! Even beats the fresh movie theater popcorn! Thanks for putting out there such a superior product and I plan to be a customer for many years.

    Nice Big Kernels

Posted by Robin on May 13th 2016

High quality, great flavor an nice big kernels. My family loves this popcorn. My son ran out of his popcorn, had to go to the store, bought the regular brand of popcorn an popped it. The flavor did not compare to Amish county popcorn. They through it away than came to my house an got the Amish country popcorn.
